July 8, 2009 - Poly Bushel Trucks
Rotonics Manufacturing Inc. recently enhanced their line of high-quality rotationally molded Linen and Laundry products through the redesign of their 6 to 12 cubic foot Poly Bushel Trucks. These rugged, industrial quality laundry trucks are made from durable, high-density, 100% waterproof polyethylene. They come equipped with molded-in mounting brackets for secure wheel attachment, and have replaced the industry standard plywood base in lieu of a plastic base for economic purposes.
Plywood bases become distressed after use and can harbor mold, germs, and bacteria. By contrast, seamless, all-polyethylene trucks ensure easy cleaning and sterilization; they withstand the moisture which is characteristic of the Linen and Laundry industry and do not rust or rot like wood and fabric.
These carts are ideal for laundry wash aisles, where they allow convenient linen transport and measuring. These reasonably priced bushel trucks are inherently designed with a molded-in, curled-top flange, standard non-marking quality casters, and an ergonomically-friendly spring lift mechanism, all of which contribute to strength and optimum maneuverability.
“The carts are a win-win situation, since they are tougher and still more affordable than similar carts with molded-in wheels,” stated Sales Engineer Brent Gall. “Not only do Rotonics’ bushel trucks provide hygienic, sleek, and efficient material handling when exposed to guest areas, they are now manufactured using less raw materials since we eliminated the need for an additional reinforced base. This assists in maintaining a relative cost structure.”
Consequently, the improved truck design meets the principles for Rotonics’ “Go Green” crusade. The objective of this new campaign is to increase product quality and performance while at the same time decreasing consumption of raw materials, in order to improve the product’s ecological footprint. The initiative began with the goal to develop plastics molding technology and a manufacturing process that would meet these stringent, environmentally-conscious standards. Because of the crusade, Rotonics now recycles over 3 million pounds of plastic a year in the production of new products.
Rotonics continually stands out in the laundry transport market because of their ability to encourage sustainability of the world's ecological support systems while still maintaining the customer's prerogative. For example, Rotonics designed the original polyethylene reinforced base, the Rotobase, which is manufactured from 100% recycled material and which is available as an option for those who require extra-heavy-duty bushel trucks.
Rotonics serves the linen transport industry with a wide variety of products, all of which can fit through standard doorways and be lifted by standard machines. They invite you to check out their assortment of high-quality, affordable laundry carts and other products at www.rotonics.com |
